Made of “Silane” or “Moisture Cure” method of cross-linking where links between the molecules of the HDPE polymer are formed after the extrusion process. The color of blue tubing helps identify the pipe as cold water line in PEX plumbing systems. It can also be used for hot water delivery as well, but most use red PEX tubing for hot water systems. During the winter, the tubing has the ability to expand and contract when water freezes. When using proper installation, water freeze can be minimized to ensure continuous flow of water delivery.
