The Alphacool Repack – Dual Laing D5 – Dual 5.25” bay station is for designed installation in the front of an enclosure. For mounting two vacant 5.25” drive bays are required. Mounting of the pump(s) can be done individually or in a dual configuration. For both configurations all required material is included. Dual operation can be configured to couple the pumps serially or for parallel operation. The pumps always draw the coolant from one combined reservoir.

Building on the original Monsoon’s success, the new Monsoon Series Two D5 Premium features a host of design refinements and improved modularity all aimed at making them easier to use, quieter, and a better overall value. The new vibration dampening mounting system is the industry’s first and only 100% decoupled mounting solution and substantially reduces the amount of sound generating vibration transmitted from your reservoir to your chassis. The 40% glass filled molded nylon main body now features sound dampening cavities that work on the same principles as the baffles in a car muffler or the sound dampening material on the walls of a recording studio—each time you redirect a sound wave it loses energy. The new LED lighting board has been moved to the bottom of the reservoir to prevent accidentally getting it wet if the user overflows the top fill port catch basins and the board now features RGB color changing LED’s that allow the user to scroll through the color presets and select the perfect light color for their build. It also now has a chip that retains your brightness setting and light color selection on power down. The face plate is still machined 6mm aluminum, but the mounting screws are now hidden on the back for a cleaner more streamlined look—no cheesy 1mm thick faux aluminum face plates stuck on with double back tape here. The reservoir back is precision machined PVC and because the reservoir is fully modular, the pump backs, face plates, motor mounting hardware, and color matched screws and stop plugs can be mixed and matched to suit your current and future builds. All screws are color coordinated stainless steel and the included stop plugs are color coordinated machined brass. Sleeving is premium triple strand triple weave and the Molex plug is black. Designed for installation in a vacant 5.25” drive bay, this reservoir allows compact installation and is a great addition to the front of your enclosure. Connection to the reservoir can be achieved via the implemented G1/4” threads for maximum compatibility and flexibility. Construction-wise, this reservoir is also a great piece of hardware: Extra-strong Plexi increases stability of the reservoir and ensures extra rigidity. Filling can be done via the 3/8” thread in the front third of the reservoir, which is sealed with a black nickel plated screw plug during operation. By simply pulling the reservoir forward from the drive bay, it can be filled easily. Make it even easier for yourself by connecting a Fillport! Mounting of one or two Alphacool DC-LT Ceramic 12 Volt pumps is possible with this reservoir. By default it is shipped prepared for installation of one pump. To install a second pump, simply remove the Plexi sealing cap which is installed by default, This can be done easily be removing two screws, and you are set to mount a second DC-LT. Both pumps are now operating serially, still offering the quiet operation as with one pump, but with more performance. The front of the reservoir, the component which mainly remains visible after installation, is just beautiful to look at: Plexi, Acetal and a fill level indicator in combination with the typical Alphacool copper create a truly elegant design. The step towards perfection The new Alphacool AGB comes in three different models. You can either connect a Laing DDC, the Alphacool DC-LT or the Laing D5/Alphacool VPP655 at the backplate depending on the model which you use. The brushed plate provides an optical finishing touch which is underlined by the high quality processing. The front consists of a scretch-secure soft-touch surface painted in black-matt. The Eisfach is mounted in two of the front 5,25″ bays which provides a good overview of the container and the fill level is easily being checked through the lighted window at the back. Additionally, the Alphacool logo in the front can be lighted by connecting the 3-pin connector with a power source. A lot of details complement the first impression! Two 1/4″ holes at the top side are available for the first filling. To refill you can simply remove and extract the fillport in the front and two 1/4″ holes at the bottom side facilitate the draining of the liquid. There are two lighting modules at the right hand side at the back of the container behind the window for 5mm LEDs. This provides a unique opportunity for personalised lighting and optic. Further two holes at the left hand side provide additional opportunities to fill or drain the liquid. The last two 1/4″ threads are used to fill or drain the container. A Bubble Down module has been placed behind the inlet to prevent turbulences that could lead air into the watercircle. Phobya’s Slot-in reservoir with many technical innovations and great details. The main function of a reservoir in a water cooling loop is to offer space for expansion of the coolant, deaerate the loop and also help with initial filling. This is where the innovations from the developers at Phobya comes into play: An internal channel system helps with deaeration to ensure all air bubbles being removed from the coolant. Even with very powerful pumps this reservoir is able to remove the air bubbles from the system. The filling of the reservoir can be done easily and quickly by removing the 3/8″ screw plug after pulling the reservoir out of the drive bay. We recommend using a funnel for filling. An even easier solution is connecting a Fillport which will allow filling without pulling the reservoir from the case. The small details are what makes this reservoir great: Five G1/4″ threads give many connection possibilities for maximum versatility. The optical aspect of a watercooling is also very important! Especially in large enclosures there are usually too many 5.25″ drive bays. Besides the Phobya inscription a fill level indicator is integrated to allow checking of the fill level at the front of the case. Especially with coloured coolant the fill level indicator provides a beautiful effect and sets a unique accent. This effect can be improved even further when using the four 5mm LED holes at the rear for unique lighting effects inside of the reservoir. The reservoir is shipped with all parts required for mounting. As usually only two of the five connection threads are used, three black nickel plated screw plugs are included.
